During the month of February, the Mentor Grade 8 Initiative Club worked on a number of projects, but the main focus was the collection of iPods and iTunes gift cards. The devices collected will be donated to the Alzheimer Society of Peel and will be used for music therapy as a part of their iPod project.
Research has shown that music can drastically improve the lives of those suffering from Alzheimers, and the students in the Grade 8 Initiative Club were excited to help this cause. The club would like to thank all the students and families who donated to the collection. Together, we were very successful!
Special thanks go out to Mrs. Sarna’s class, which brought in the most donations! Thank you all!
