Enviro Club Cleans Up Neighbourhood

Grade 5 student Sabine Leibeck submitted the following report:

We were lucky to see Amy Stasiuk visit us yesterday and give us a kit filled with painting materials. Mrs. Stasiuk works for the City of Mississauga and the Stormwater Outreach Programme. We got dressed up in neon vests and headed out into the Mentor College neighbourhood. We took turns painting yellow fish above water grates and we delivered pamphlets to let the homeowners know what we were doing. It was fun running outside and we did something good for our environment. We hope nobody will dump any toxic liquid down the drains as we want our Lake Ontario to stay clean. Thank you to Mrs. Stasiuk who took time to speak with the group and to make sure we had a great time.
