Habitat Club Members on First Build of the Year

20161013_094234Yesterday, the Habitat for Humanity Club traveled to Cobourg to participate in their first build of the year. Upon arrival, Daniil Jaradeh, Ashley Petrovski, Armin Buijs, Cooper Cunningham, and Sophie Treptau were immediately put to work on the exterior walls, cutting and fastening insulation – a job that kept them busy most of the day. Sarah Agnew and Mahy Desoky’s responsibilities include, taping vapour wrap to the building, and operating the mitre saw.

Yousef Al Hashemi, Michael Petrovski, and Jaskeerat Singh contributed the “hammer and nail” work of the day, helping to fasten the waterproofing to the foundation, as well as the vapour wrap. Ms. Brady and Mr. McCallen are proud of the work ethic displayed by the team along with the accomplishments that were made.

This is the fifth visit Mentor College has made to the Habitat Northumberland affiliate and each time they have commended our students on their high level of work ethic and cooperation.
