Marissa Parker (Rugby): Marissa has made a strong impact on the Girls’ Rugby Team this fall. Her speed and agility/dance moves make her a tough opponent to tackle as Sandalwood experienced last week when she scored 3 tries against them in just one seven minute half. At practice, she is focused and keen to improve her game sense. Marissa is commended for her athleticism and time management. When she is not training with the Girls’ Rugby Team, she is competing with the Cross Country and Mock Trial teams and all her coaches are always well informed of her schedule. Marissa Parker is a Marauder who leads by example and inspires excellence!
Matthew Anderson (Golf): As a first year member on the golf team and a grade nine student, Matthew has been lighting up the golf course. His consistent performance through tryouts and his rounds at Mont Tremblant, show his dedication to the sport. At the ROPSSAA qualifier at Glen Eagle, Matthew had the lowest score on our team, shooting a 71 (one under par) despite being one of the youngest athletes at the tournament. He is focused, determined and has perfected his technique making him a competitive force. We look forward to another strong performance at the ROPSSAA championship and wish the golf team good luck.
