Once again, the students from HS Outreach have been busy spreading their cheer and their caring to people facing big challenges. Last Wednesday, ten students went to Armagh House, a second stage shelter for abused women, to decorate gingerbread houses with the children who live in the facility.
These gingerbread houses and the decorations had been generously donated by many Mentor families who supported last week’s Habitat for Humanity initiative. In this way the “Mentor family” supported the projects to build houses for people in need, and helped others who live locally, but who also are facing very trying times.
The children, the mothers and the students had a wonderful time, spending time chatting, exercising their creativity and, of course, eating sweets. Thank you to all those who made this memorable afternoon possible.
