Outdoor Education - Photos

This is the OEC in early fall and the picture was taken from the south meadow. You can't see them, but the climbing wall and slide are behind you to the right and the lake is on your left. Look at that smog-free sky!
The Kitchen

The kitchen is fully equipped, and with all of those students out in the fresh air all day long, their appetites are huge! Three meals a day plus snacks are provided, and the students assist in the meal preparation, set up and clean up.
A Typical Bunk Room
Students pair up into upper and lower bunks, and, depending on the size of the room, are in rooms of 4 to 10 students. "Bear Bunks" (shown above) has a nice view of the meadow and marsh, and "morning people" like it as it is the first bunk to see the early sunrise!
The Common Room

Students can "lounge" on the couches while waiting for their next activity, warm up by the woodstove after coming out from the cold or watch their friends set the table for the next meal.
The Boot Room
With direct access to outside, the boot room is where outdoor gear is put on and taken off. After a frosty cross-country ski across the lake, the boot room is a warm and welcome area!
