Congratulations to the teams of students, staff, and parents who took part in The Inside Ride! This was the 6th Inside Ride for the Mentor/TEAM community. Together, the teams raised $50,000 – all of which goes to the Jenna’s Angels Foundation! The six-year total for the event is now over $480,000!
This year’s student organizing committee – led by Grade 12 student Graeme Inglis – exemplified what leadership is all about. The group – including Chad Rewa, Anmol Dhillon, Mackenzie Philbrick, Caitlin Hughes, Adelle Henriques, Jacky Li (to name a few) – gave up a lot of their free time in the weeks leading up to the event by working on planning, fundraising, resource management, and other tasks both big and small. Well done, students!
The committee thanks the leadership of Mr. Macdonald, Mr. Philbrook, and the principals for all of their support! Thank you also to the teacher and parent teams who showed tremendous support for the event! Thank you to the friendly and supportive staff at The Inside Ride! Special mention must be given to the Intermediate and HS Environment Clubs – whose members served up ice-cold water to thirsty participants throughout the day! This was all done with reusable bottles – resulting in 500-600 disposable plastic bottles NOT being consumed.
