Mr. Carruthers and Mme Zorec would like to thank the 8 wonderful Outreach volunteers who spent a day last week at the Peel Children’s Aid Society helping with their annual Toy Drive. Students assisted in organizing and displaying the donated toys coming into the warehouse. Their efforts were matched only by their smiles and coordinators at the Children’s Aid could not say enough about how wonderful the students were.
Mentor College Outreach students are historically invited on the first day of the Toy Room to help set up tables and organize the toys because of our students’ impeccable reputation for being hard working and conscientious. By the end of the day, students were tired, but very content and proud of themselves for helping and being involved in such a great cause. A new batch of Outreach volunteers will be travelling with Ms. Lessing and Mr. Carruthers next Wednesday to help out friends at the Salvation Army with their Toy Room as well.
