Lending A Hand At Armagh

311Mr. Cantwell, Ms. Sanderson and Mr. Carruthers would like to thank the 11 wonderful Outreach volunteers who spent yesterday cleaning up the grounds of Armagh House. Not intimidated by the vast, expansive estate, and intermittent weather, students pulled weeds, swept and raked up enough leaves to fill 25 yard bags. It was also extra special as it was the first visit to Armagh for all 11 volunteers and both Mr. Cantwell and Ms. Sanderson.

As always, the staff at Armagh House was very appreciative and welcomed these new volunteers with a tour of the facilities and a new, unique volunteering opportunity to be revealed in November.  We will be further helping our friends at Armagh throughout the holiday season with a Gingerbread House Build with the children of Armagh, and of course in the spring with another grounds-keeping adventure and the annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes fundraiser.

Next up for our volunteers will be the 2nd annual Home for the Holidays breakfast in support of Youth Without Shelter on November 19. More photos here!
