abff59ce-b023-4bb9-863b-4686250a551fAll four of Mentor’s FIRST Lego League (FLL) teams competed at regional qualifying events this past Saturday.

Our Grades 5/6 teams, the Texsperts and the Bricksters, were in Oakville at the Halton qualifier. Both teams had very successful judging sessions wowing the judges with their teamwork and communication skills. The Texsperts even received a call back judging session for Core Values! Both teams had an exciting afternoon competing on the game boards, and are now even more excited to compete again next year.

Our Grades 7/8 teams, the Compostables and the Clean Queens, competed at the Tomken Rd. Peel qualifier. The boys team, the Compostables, came together as a team and won the Presentation award. The boys displayed exceptional teamwork and cooperation and impressed the judges with the hard work they put into this project. The girls team, the Clean Queens swept up the Innovative Solution Award and will be moving on to compete at the Provincial Tournament at the University of Waterloo in January. All our coaches would like to congratulate the four teams for their commitment and enthusiasm throughout the season.
