Metamorphoses: Much More Than Just A Play

Congratulations to the cast and crew of the HS spring play!

Last Wednesday and Thursday evenings, a very talented group of HS students presented the play Metamorphoses in O’Brien Hall at the Main Campus. Dealing with the timeless themes of love, loss, greed, and power through Greek mythology, the actors engaged their entire bodies in scenes of physicalization (describing or expressing in physical terms). Having a swimming pool at center-stage certainly helped!

Led by drama teacher Ms. Wilkinson and accompanied by the outstanding original compositions of Grade 12 student Robyn Starkey, this year’s cast produced what Ms. Wilkinson describes as “…not just a play; it is a piece of art – where the process is just important as the product.”
