Owen Wins OJEN Competition

int-posterGrade 6 Mentor student Owen Sharp has just been announced as one of eight winners in the 2013 OJEN (Ontario Justice Education Network) competition! Congratulations, Owen! He is invited to a very special unveiling of his poster at the Brampton Courthouse on November 8. We are all so excited and proud of Owen for this incredible achievement!

For the past few years, OJEN has run a poster contest for Grade 5 students. Mr. Thompson’s Intermediate class (which Owen was in last year) has been participating in this for several years. Students create art work explaining what rights and freedoms from the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms mean to them. The top art work is put on display at the Brampton Courthouse and becomes the cover page of every official publication of that courthouse for the next year.
