The Memories to Music project is undertaken yearly between Mentor College high school music students and the Alzheimer Society Peel.
Our students are partnered with a new friend who is in the early stages of dementia. They learn about the disease, meet their partners, collect their life stories and write a song about that person’s life. This makes for a wonderful legacy for the senior partner and their families.
The project, which started in 2010, was recently featured in the Toronto Star. Read all about it here!
Many thanks to the wonderful students and families that were a part of this year’s amazing session!
