Yesterday, students in Grade 11 Ancient History, Anthropology, and Biology classes were privileged to attend a presentation by two distinguished guests: Dr. Tracy Rogers – Associate Professor, University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) Campus; Director, Forensic Science Program, UTM and Dr. Trevor Orchard – Professor of Anthropology and Archaeology, University of Toronto.
Financial literacy is a component of the Ontario high school curriculum. As such, students are provided with exposure to careers related to specific subject areas. Dr. Rogers and Dr. Orchard spent two hours with the students – discussing and explaining various aspects of their respective careers and how they have arrived at their current positions.
The students in attendance, along with teachers, Mrs. Davies, Mr. Masterton, Mr. McCallen, Mr. Milkovich, Mrs. Reintjes, and Ms. Weiner are grateful to Dr. Rogers and Dr. Orchard for their time. We would love to welcome them back in the future!
