Mentor Grade 2 students finished their month-long unit on the Woodland Natives by creating their own longhouses. The students from Ms. Mackenzie’s class enjoyed making their dioramas and had the following comments: Sam enjoyed seeing his shoe box change into a long house.
Abigail thought it was easy to build the fires inside by stretching out the red and orange plasticine. Mohammad enjoyed making the food in the baskets because he thought it was fun to roll the plasticine and feel the little pieces with his fingers.
Dylan thought making the roof was easy because his sister had shown him how to knit, so he knew how to weave things through tight spaces. Everyone did a fantastic job! Well done Grade 2s!
