University Credits In High School

sep28-hsMentor High School students have the opportunity to earn university credits in high school through the Advanced Placement Programme. This is offered through the College Board which also administers the SAT. Mentor students in the AP programme study a rigorous curriculum in small groups with our teachers and write a final examination worth 100% of the grade in May.

The HS science faculty, offering AP Physics (Mrs. Muresan), AP Biology (Mrs. Reintjes) and AP Chemistry (Mrs. Bogoje), have demanded and obtained high standards of excellence for our students.

In May, our AP science students had absolutely outstanding results. Note: a perfect exam score is 5 and guarantees a first year university credit.

  • 5 of 10 students in AP Physics scored 5’s. Average 4.3
  • 5 of 6 students in AP Chemistry scored 5’s. Average 4.67
  • 10 of 11 students in AP Biology scored 5’s. Average 4.73

Both the faculty and students should be congratulated for their exemplary efforts and results!
