The grading of the field is now completely finished so most of the large machines have now left the construction site. The final grade was completed with a very-specialized machine that combines laser and GPS technology so every square centimetre of the field area is within 2 millimetres of the proper co-ordinates (including depth). After a few more days of preparation and measuring, we will start to see turf being unrolled!
The long jump pit has been filled with sand and the area between the “hill” and the track is getting prepared for the laying of sod. Once this is in place, the Intermediate students will begin to use this area for recess and will get their first crack at the re-located playground equipment like the Primary Campus students did earlier this week.
